The Reason Jesus Comes Again in the Flesh"},"content":{"rendered":"

Many verses of the Bible prophesy about the second coming of Jesus Christ. Concerning this, we should know when, in what form, and for what purpose will Christ come again. We should also know how we can recognize Him. Let us briefly study about the second coming of Christ through the prophecies of the Bible that testify about the Savior.<\/p>\n

Christ\u2019s Second Coming Before the Last Judgment<\/h2>\n

Many Christians equate Jesus\u2019 second coming with the Last Judgment<\/a>. They believe that when Jesus, who ascended to Heaven 2,000 years ago, comes again, the world will be judged and the believers will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. On the contrary, Jesus said that His people would not receive salvation immediately upon His return to this earth (Lk 21:27\u201331), and that the last days would be the same as that of Noah<\/a> and of Lot (Mt 24:37\u201339; Lk 17:26\u201332). In the days of Noah, God allowed Noah\u2019s family to flee to the ark before destroying the world by a flood; in the days of Lot, God allowed Lot\u2019s family to escape to Zoar before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah with fire. It means that in the last days, too, God will let His people know the refuge of salvation they must flee to before He judges the world. This is the providence of salvation, which Jesus fulfills at His second coming in the last days (Mt 24:31).<\/p>\n

Christ\u2019s Second Coming in the Flesh<\/h2>\n

Christ is prophesied to come a second time on the clouds<\/a> (Mt 24:30\u201331). Many Christians imagine Jesus coming on the clouds of the sky; however, Jesus\u2019 coming with clouds means that He will be born as a man.<\/p>\n

In the Bible, clouds are often likened to humans in the flesh (Jude 1:12; Pr 25:14). Jesus, who came as the Savior 2,000 years ago, also had been prophesied to come on the clouds in the Old Testament; yet, He came in the flesh, not on physical clouds (Da 7:13\u201314; Mt 28:18; Jn 17:9\u201310; Lk 22:29). Therefore, when Christ comes a second time, He will appear in the flesh and preach the gospel of the kingdom just as He did at His first coming.<\/p>\n

Purpose of the Second Coming in the Flesh<\/h2>\n

The reason Christ comes a second time in the flesh before He judges the world is that God\u2019s people are in a situation where they cannot receive salvation. Jesus already prophesied through the parable of the weeds and the wheat that lawlessness would be sown after the gospel of the kingdom was sown (Mt 13:24\u201330, 36\u201342). According to this prophecy, after the Apostolic Age, the gospel of the kingdom that Jesus taught, such as the Sabbath<\/a> and the Passover<\/a> of the New Covenant, disappeared. Churches became filled with false doctrines such as worship on Sunday, the holy day of the sun god, and Christmas, the birthday of the sun god.<\/p>\n

Consequently, because of this situation, Jesus said faith would not be found on the earth at the time of His second coming (Lk 18:8). That\u2019s why He said He would come into this world where the true faith could not be found, and gather His elect by restoring the truth of the gospel (Mt 24:31). The writer of Hebrews said that Christ would appear a second time to bring salvation (Heb 9:28). Ultimately, Christ is to live a human life once again for the salvation of humankind, not for the purpose of judgment (Jn 10:10).<\/p>\n

How to Recognize Christ Coming a Second Time<\/h2>\n

Jesus said that false Christs and false prophets would perform great signs and miracles in the last days, for the purpose of deceiving people (Mt 24:24). The Apostles Paul and John recorded the same prophecy (2 Th 2:9\u201310; Rev 19:20). According to these biblical prophecies, we can say those who perform signs and miracles in the last days are false Christs.<\/p>\n

The true God will never accomplish His redemptive work in the last days by using the same methods that false Christs do. Alternatively, Christ who appears in the last days, teaches His ways and truth in Zion in order to save His people (Mic 4:1\u20132). We can recognize the Second Coming Christ only through the prophecies of the Bible (Jn 5:39).<\/p>\n

Ahnsahnghong the Christ Who Has Come a Second Time According to the Prophecies of the Bible<\/h2>\n

Through the parable of the fig tree<\/a>, Jesus declared that He would come a second time when the withered fig tree comes to life (Mt 24:32\u201333). In the Bible, the fig tree represents Israel (Jer 24:5; Mk 11:12\u201320; Lk 13:6\u20139). Therefore, the revival of the fig tree is a prophecy foretelling that despite being destroyed, Israel will have its national power restored. Following the Roman destruction of Israel in A.D. 70, the Israelites wandered without a state for about 1,900 years, and then, miraculously rebuilt their country in Palestine in 1948. This was an irrefutable sign of the second coming of Christ.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Bible prophesies that immediately following World War II (1939\u20131945), the seal of God, the New Covenant Passover, would appear (Rev 7:1\u20133). Therefore, the One who appears after World War II in the east in 1948 when Israel was rebuilt, and teaches the Passover of the New Covenant, is the Second Coming Christ.<\/p>\n

There is the One who has fulfilled all of these prophecies of the Bible. He is Christ Ahnsahnghong<\/a>. Christ Ahnsahnghong was baptized in 1948 when He turned 30 years old, and preached the Passover of the New Covenant which had not been kept by anyone for a long time. He restored all of the lost truths of the New Covenant, including the Passover, which initially appeared in Korea at the ends of the earth in the east.
