Christ Ahnsahnghong Has Brought Us the Tree of Life
In Eden there were the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God forbade eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Ge 2:16–17 “You must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” However, Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and came to die.
As a result, all mankind became subject to death. Yet, God has provided a way for mortal man to live again. Ge 3:22 “He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.” If humans eat from the Tree of Life, they can have eternal life.
However, God blocked the way for sinners not to eat from the Tree of Life. Ge 3:24 After he [God] drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
Who do you think can open the way to the tree of life again? Only God can do it. The reason God blocked the way was to show that only He can open what He Himself has guarded.
About 2,000 years ago, Jesus revealed the secret of the tree of life. Jn 6:54 “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life.” The reality of the tree of life in Eden is Jesus’ flesh and blood.
How can we eat Jesus' flesh and drink His blood? By keeping the Passover. So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover. . . . Jesus took bread, . . . “This is my body.” Then he took a cup, . . . “This is my blood of the covenant.” Through the Passover we partake of Christ’s flesh and blood— the reality of the tree of life.
Let us remember Eden. God Himself closed the way to the tree of life— and only He can open it. That is why God came to this earth: to give us life. Jn 10:10 “I have come that they [God’s people] may have life, and have it to the full.” About 2,000 years ago, Jesus, who is God in the flesh, brought us the Passover, the truth of the tree of life.
Yet the Passover that Jesus Himself established was abolished at the Council of Nicaea in AD 325. Can we receive eternal life without keeping the Passover, the truth of the tree of life? No!
That is why it was prophesied that Jesus would come a second time. Christ . . . will appear a second time . . . to bring salvation [eternal life]. (Heb 9:28) What must He bring to give us salvation—eternal life? He must bring the Passover, the truth of the tree of life.
Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the Passover, the tree of life that had been blocked for about 1,600 years. Therefore, Ahnsahnghong is Christ Jesus— God who came a second time, fulfilling all the prophecies of the Bible in this age.
