Outline

The Bible testifies that the death of humankind originated from Adam and Eve’s sin of violating the law in Eden: “You shall not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Christ Ahnsahnghong revealed the true meaning of the history of Eden in His administration of redemption, through this book. He also preached that humankind is the angels who sinned in Heaven. This book shows that the New Covenant is the gospel that Christ preached for humankind to return to Heaven, and that the core of the gospel is the Passover.

Preface

Why did God create Adam and Eve and why did He let them sin? Why did God establish the administration of redemption? Why did He establish the city of refuge in the Old Testament and what is the fulfillment of the prophecy about the city of refuge in the New Testament? What is the gospel of the New Testament and what is the way to obey the gospel? What is the order of Melchizedek? What is the sign by which we can enter the heavenly kingdom without fail? This book is published to give you the correct answers to all the questions stated above because there are so many false doctrines in the world. The Bible says that those who are deceived by falsehood are destroyed, too.

Salvation is given through faith, but there is also false faith. Then, what is the faith leading to salvation? If you do believe, you must have the truth and the right faith to enter eternal life.

Chapter 1 Why Did God Put the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden?

When God put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden, did He know that Adam and Eve would eat of it, or not?

We cannot say that the omniscient and omnipotent God, who had declared the end from the beginning, was unaware of it (Isa 46:10). If God knew, He must have intended Adam and Eve to sin; for the serpent that tempted them to sin was also made by God. As it is written:

Ge 3:1-5 『Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made.』

It was also God who hardened Pharaoh’s heart and made the Israelites undergo severe sufferings in Egypt. As it is written:

Ex 9:15-16; Ro 9:17-18 『“. . . But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”』

Therefore, it is certain that God put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to make Adam and Eve sin by eating from it; where sin increased, grace increased all the more. For Adam and Eve, it was a command “not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Where there is no command, there is no sin (Ro 5:13).

Chapter 2 The Law Was Established So That the Trespass Might Increase

Why did God put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and make Adam and Eve sin by eating from it? It is because God wanted them to be delivered from sin and enter eternal glory. In the Garden of Eden, eternal life was not guaranteed, but conditional. If sinners are redeemed through the blood of Jesus, eternal life is no longer conditional but guaranteed. For it is written:

Rev 21:4 『He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain . . .』

The law established in the Garden of Eden or on Mount Sinai eventually caused men to sin and put them to death. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was a law in the Garden of Eden, and the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai. By the way, the Bible says that God established the law so that sin might increase.

Ro 5:20-21 『The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.』

In other words, eternal life is not guaranteed until we are redeemed from death through the blood of Jesus. What matters is the blood of Jesus. Without Jesus’ blood, there can be no perfection. The Apostle Paul wrote about the commandment:

Ro 7:10-11 『I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death. For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death.』

The devil has been deceiving the whole world since the Garden of Eden, watching for a chance: Taking advantage of Adam’s absence, he deceived Eve into eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; she gave it to Adam and he ate it, and they came to die (Ge 3:1-5).

So, we can see that neither the creation in the Garden of Eden nor the law on Mount Sinai was perfect. God is still in the process of creating the perfect. As it is written:

Jn 5:17 『Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working.”』

Jesus spoke the above words, because the Jews blamed Him for doing the work of creating the perfect even on the Sabbath day.

Then, when will God’s work of creating the perfect finish? It is written in Genesis 1 that God finished His work of creation in six days and rested from it. In regard to this, the Apostle Paul wrote an interpretation as follows in the next chapter.

Chapter 3 The Sabbath Day and the Sabbath of a Thousand Years

Heb 4:3-6 『And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world. For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “And on the seventh day God rested from all his work.” And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.” It still remains that some will enter that rest . . . 』

It is written, “ ‘And on the seventh day God rested from all his work.’ And again in the passage above he says, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ It still remains that some will enter that rest”: The Apostle Paul interpreted ‘that rest’ as the eternal rest coming after six thousand years of human history. The Sabbath day after six days and the Sabbath year after six years are a prophecy of the things to come. In the Bible, sometimes a day is counted as a year or as a thousand years for the fulfillment of a prophecy (Nu 14:34; Eze 4:6).

2 Pe 3:8 『But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.』

The Sabbath day (every seventh day) or the Sabbath year (every seventh year) shows that there will be the Sabbath of a thousand years after six thousand years of human history. In the book of Revelation, it is written that Satan will be locked in the Abyss for a thousand years, and that the saints will reign [rest] for a thousand years (Rev 20:1-6). Therefore, the fact that God rested after the six days of creation shows that He will enter eternal rest after the six thousand years of the perfect creation, along with the redeemed.

“And again in the passage above he says, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ It still remains that some will enter that rest”: The Apostle John described “entering that rest” as “reigning for a thousand years.”

Therefore, Adam and Eve were not the complete, but just a model for the complete, because there was potential for them to sin and die. The Apostle Paul wrote about the complete and the incomplete as follows:

1 Co 15:44-53 『it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man [Adam] was of the dust of the earth, the second man [Jesus] from heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven . . .』

In other words, Adam was not the spiritual―the complete, but an incomplete being with a natural body formed from the dust of the earth. This shows that the incomplete of the earth should be changed to the complete of heaven, that is, the spiritual.
